Walk through the old districts of the city, with its narrow streets, and enjoy the unique combination of cultures. You will be fascinated by the colorful houses, patterned balconies, old churches, Sulphur baths and so on.</p>
<p>Take a cable car to Narikala Fortress, which overlooks the whole town with its proudness. We continue on to the engrossing Georgian National museum, which represents the history of the whole country. </p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 3: Tbilisi - Sighnaghi - Tsinandali - Telavi - Tbilisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, you&#8217;ll drive to the wine region. On the way, admire the snowy Caucasus mountains and beautiful countryside. Arrive in fortified town of Sighnaghi. While wandering in this charming town, you will see the old fences, tiny houses and decorated balconies. </p>
<p>For lunch, visit a local family, where you will experience the culture of Georgian feast, try delicious food. On top of that, participate in Georgian sweet “Churchkhela” making and bread baking process.</p>
<p>After some time with a Georgian family continue driving to Tsinandali estate. Here, you will visit the palace of 19th century aristocratic poet Alexander Chavchavadze.</p>
<p>Later, visit a local, who will be glad to show us his winery and try natural wines, made by traditional way in Kvevri &#8211; clay vessel (This method is inscribed in UNESCO Intangible Heritage list). Full of pleasant emotions, return to the capital.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 4: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Stepantsminda</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, you will discover the ancient capital and religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta. Firstly, visit Jvari monastery (6th century), which overlooks the confluence of two rivers and our next destination &#8211; Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), where the Robe of Christ is buried. Both are UNESCO World Heritage sites.</p>
<p>Later on, continue driving to the north part of Georgia via Georgian Military Highway. On the way, visit Ananuri complex from 17th century. The drive is the spectacular and breathtaking mountain through the scenery of the Greater Caucasus. Arrive in Stepantsminda, which is surrounded by magnificent mountains. </p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 5: Stepantsminda</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, we will start walking up to Gergeti Trinity church, located on a mountain hill (2170 m.). Walking up will be challenging and enjoyable. As soon as you reach the destination, you will be amazed by the majestic Mount Kazbegi (5047 m.), the highest peak in this region. Visit Gergeti Trinity church from 14th century and overlook the town of Stepantsminda. After some time, walk back to the town center.</p>
<p>In the afternoon, you will enjoy the hospitality of a local family. Also, you will have an opportunity to learn traditional Georgian cooking techniques. The host will teach you how to prepare Georgian traditional dish “Khinkali”. Spend the rest of the day on your own.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 6: Stepantsminda - Uplistsikhe - Gori</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, leave this majestic part of Georgia and continue driving to Gori. On the way, visit a local family winery in a small village, where you&#8217;ll taste unique natural wines produced by traditional Georgian method in Kvevri (clay vessel). You will also have a chance to enjoy a family lunch with traditional Georgian cuisine.</p>
<p>Continue driving to Uplistsikhe (1st millennium BC). The oldest cave town in Georgia, which was part of a Silk Road. Here, everything is carved into the mountainside: dwelling quarters, wine-cellars, bakeries, a three-nave basilica church hewn out of rock and an antique theatre. Later, drive to Gori – birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Visit his house, where he was born and the museum.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 7: Gori - Sachkhere - Chiatura - Gelati - Kutaisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, we continue our journey to the Western part of Georgia, through Imeretian villages. We will make our first stop in the industrial town of Chiatura. This town is a very good example of Soviet architecture, which still is a mining town.</p>
<p>In the afternoon, you will arrive in Kutaisi, the third largest city in Georgia. Visit Gelati monastery, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, built in 12th<sup> </sup>Century. Its frescoes are aesthetically beautiful and mesmerizing. It was founded by King David &#8220;the Builder&#8221;, as a center for Christian culture.</p>
<p><em>Note: Due to restoration work, the Gelati Monastery is currently closed to visitors. It is still unknown how long the restoration will take. As long as the Gelati Monastery remains closed, you will visit the Motsameta Monastery.</em></p>
<p>Overnight in Kutaisi.</p></div>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 8: Kutaisi - Tskaltubo - Prometheus Cave - Mestia</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, visit agricultural market, one of the liveliest markets in Georgia. Here, the locals provide natural products. This experience will make you feel like a local. Drive to Tskaltubo, the most famous balneological resort in Georgia and visit Prometheus Grotto, which is a natural beauty monument. The length of the cave is 1420 m.</p>
<p>The unique stalactites and stalagmites will leave an indelible impression on you. The beautiful lighting and classical music on the background makes this place even more charming and mysterious.</p>
<p>Afterwards, continue driving to mystical Svaneti region, where the highest peaks of the Greater Caucasus, glaciers eternally covered with snow, lakes, waterfalls and towers from the Middle Ages are found.</p>
<p>Overnight in Mestia.</p></div>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 9: Mestia - Koruldi Lakes - Mestia</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, you&#8217;ll explore one of the gorgeous place in Svaneti &#8211; wonderful alpine lakes. Drive up to Koruldi, from there is an amazing view. The peaks of Shkhara, Ushba, Tetnuldi and Laila will remain in your memory forever. Koruldi lakes will definitely captivate you with its majesty.</p>
<p>Drive back to Mestia, have some free time and then, visit Ethnographic museum of Mestia.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 10: Mestia - Ushguli - Mestia </h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, you will explore Ushguli. It is the highest permanent village in Europe at 2200 m. This town is protected by UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will see how the nature, architecture and old traditions merge seamlessly into one another.</p>
<p>While wandering in Ushguli, you&#8217;ll visit the 12th century Lamaria church. From here, you&#8217;ll be impressed by spectacular views of Shkhara mountain. Drive back to Mestia.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, leave the mountains of Svaneti behind and travel to Adjara region. We arrive in Batumi – Pearl of the Black Sea. We will walk along Batumi Boulevard, beautiful streets and explore this city fully.</p>

<p>As you amble through the nine floristic sectors, gain an understanding of the diverse origins of the World’s plants. The garden also boasts wonderful views of the Black Sea.</p>
<p>Spend the rest of the day on your own.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 13:  Batumi - Goderdzi Pass - Akhaltsikhe - Vardzia</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, we leave Black Sea coast and drive to Southern part of Georgia via Goderdzi pass, with a fantastic scenery. We will need special 4WD cars. It is a high mountain pass on the elevation of 2027 m. above the sea level. After this exciting road, we will arrive in Akhalstikhe and visit beautifully reconstructed Rabath Fortress.</p>
<p>It was the most important defensive structure in the region. The modern part of the restored Rabath Fortress gives us an idea of what the fortress was like centuries ago. Continue road to Vardzia. On the way, we will make a photo stop near Khertvisi fortress.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 14: Vardzia - Tsalka -Tbilisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, we will visit Vardzia cave town, which is the largest among the rock carved cities in Georgia. The monument of Georgian artistic culture of the 12th-13th centuries is divided into thirteen tiers.</p>
<p>There is a Church of the Assumption, refectories, sanctuaries, pantries, tunnels, a large number of cellars and pitchers. Today, Vardzia is a historical-architectural museum-reserve and one of the most important tourist attractions. Afterwards, continue road to Tbilisi.</p>

You will be fascinated by the colorful houses, patterned balconies, old churches, Sulphur baths and so on. Take a cable car to Narikala Fortress, which overlooks the whole town with it`s proudness. We continue on to the engrossing <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgian_National_Museum" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">Georgian National museum</a>, which represents the history of the whole country.</p>

Firstly, visit Jvari monastery (6th century), which overlooks the confluence of two rivers and our next destination &#8211; Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), where the Robe of Christ is buried.</p>
<p>Both are UNESCO World Heritage sites. Later on, you&#8217;ll drive to the wine region. On the way, admire the snowy Caucasus mountains and beautiful countryside. Arrive in fortified town of Sighnaghi. While wandering in this charming town you will see the old fences, tiny houses and decorated balconies.</p>

It was established in 1935 to preserve unique shallow forests. The area is characterized by it`s dry climate. Here you’ll find Georgia’s most unique and diverse landscapes. After spending a day in a reserve, drive back to Sighnaghi.</p>

It characterized by a humid subtropical climate. Lagodekhi Protected Area is full of biodiversity. Besides, magnificent nature, here you`ll find beautiful waterfalls, cliffs and ancient fortresses. Afterwards, drive to Kvareli. </p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 6: Kvareli - Gombori pass - Gergeti Church - Stepantsminda</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, we continue driving to the north part of Georgia via Gombori pass and then drive through the famous Georgian Military Highway. On the way, visit Ananuri complex from 17th century. The drive is the spectacular and breathtaking mountain through the scenery of the Greater Caucasus. Arrive in Stepantsminda, which is surrounded by magnificent mountains.</p>
<p>We will start walking up to Gergeti Trinity church, located on a mountain hill (2170 m.). Walking up will be challenging and enjoyable. As soon as you reach the destination, you will be amazed by the majestic Mount Kazbegi (5047 m), the highest peak in this region. Visit Gergeti Trinity church from 14<sup>th</sup> century and overlook the town of Spetantsminda. After some time, walk back to the town center.</p>

Abandoned and empty houses give us an idea of the real life of this valley, you will also see a lot of colourful mineral water springs. After hiking, drive back to Stepantsminda.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 8: Stepantsminda - Chiatura - Kutaisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, leave this majestic part of Georgia and continue driving to western part of Georgia. On the way, visit a local family winery in a small village, where, you`ll taste unique natural wines produced by traditional Georgian method in Kvevri (clay vessel).</p>
<p>Later, we continue our journey to the western part of Georgia, through Imeretian villages. We will make our first stop in the industrial town of Chiatura. This town is a very good example of Soviet architecture, still now this is a mining town. In the afternoon, you will arrive in Kutaisi, the third largest city in Georgia.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>In the morning, drive to visit Gelati monastery, part of a UNESCO World Heritage site, built in 12th<sup> </sup>Century. It`s frescoes are aesthetically beautiful and mesmerizing. It was founded by King David &#8216;the Builder&#8217;, as a center for Christian culture. Afterwards, continue to Martvili canyon, which leaves an unforgettable impression on visitors.</p>
<p><em>Note: Due to restoration work, the Gelati Monastery is currently closed to visitors. It is still unknown how long the restoration will take. As long as the Gelati Monastery remains closed, you will visit the Motsameta Monastery.</em></p>
<p>While boating or walking in the canyon we enjoy the beautiful mountain river valleys, waterfalls and hiking trails. The river has a beautiful green colour, it’s so clear and transparent, that we can even see the seabed while boating. Afterwards, continue driving to mystical Svaneti region, where the highest peaks of the Greater Caucasus, glaciers eternally covered with snow, lakes, waterfalls and towers from the Middle Ages are found.</p>

A town protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you will see how the nature, architecture and old traditions merge seamlessly into one another. While wandering in Ushguli, you&#8217;ll visit to the 12th century Lamaria church. From here, you&#8217;ll be treated to some spectacular views of the Shkhara mountain. Drive back to Mestia.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, leave the mountains of Svaneti behind and travel to Black Sea region. First, explore Kolkheti National Park, which is lacated in west Georgia and includes Samegrelo &#8211; Zemo Svaneti and Guria Regions. Paliastomi Lake, the Black Sea east border zone, unique swamps and Colchic forests are especially interesting there.</p>
<p>Its total area is 44308.5 ha, of which the sea area is 15276 ha. After visiting this breathtaking place, drive to Batumi &#8211; Pearl of the Black Sea. We will walk along Batumi Boulevard, beautiful streets and explore this city fully.</p>

Here, everything is carved into the mountainside: dwelling quarters, wine-cellars, bakeries, a three-nave basilica church hewn out of rock and an antique theatre. Arrive in Tbilisi.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 2: Tbilisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, is dedicated to visiting the beautiful capital of Georgia. We will have the opportunity to visit its narrow streets, wooden carved houses and balconies, old churches, Abanotubani &#8211; sulfur baths, a fortress that proudly overlooks the city and enjoy the golden fund of the museum, where we will see and get familiar the unique remnants of the Argonauts&#8217; travels to Georgia.</p>
<p>It is known, that the signs of working on cloisonné enamel are still found in antiquity of Georgia. Fortunately, this tradition is still preserved today and Georgian enamel has regained its old glory. There are many cloisonné enamel workshops in Tbilisi and in whole Georgia, we visit one of them and see with our own eyes the secrets of its processing. At the end of the day, we will feel the atmosphere of the city by walking through the streets of old Tbilisi.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 3: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe - Kutaisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>Today, we will visit the ancient capital of Georgia and the religious center &#8211; Mtskheta, whose history dates back more than 4000 years. It still existed before Christ and according to legend the robe of Christ is kept in this city. Here we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites &#8211; Jvari Monastery (VI century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI century).</p>
<p>Later, we will visit a local winemaker, where we will taste bio wine. It is known that the Georgians had already put wine in a pitcher during the Argonauts&#8217; journey to the Kingdom of Colchis. Our goal will be to taste the wine made by the same method. This method is included in the list of intangible monuments of UNESCO, while Georgia is recognized as the homeland of wine.</p>
<p>We will also visit the rock-carved town of Uplistsikhe, where the ancient Silk Road passed thousands of years ago. In the evening, we will arrive in the city of Kutaisi, which is also connected with the myth of the Argonauts and which was the capital of the invincible kingdom of Colchis.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 4: Kutaisi - Vani - Prometheus Cave - Kutaisi</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>The present day will be devoted to a tour of places, that are directly related to the journey of the Argonauts. First of all, we will visit the ancient city &#8211; Vani, one of the most powerful cities in the kingdom of Colchis in the time of the Argonauts. It is the center of the greatest archaeological discoveries. Old Vani still dates back to BC. It existed in the I millennium, discoveries from that time still amaze the visitors today.</p>
<p>Then, we will see the sights of Kutaisi, we will see the beautiful karst cave &#8211; Prometheus and Gelati architectural complex, which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.</p>

				<h4 class="et_pb_toggle_title">Day 5: Kutaisi - Nokalakevi - Mestia</h4>
				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>From Kutaisi, we go to the ancient fortress-city &#8211; Nokalakevi, which was the political center of Kolchis in ancient times and the most important city. According to some researchers, the mythical city of Aya, from which Jason, Medea and the Argonauts stole the golden fleece, was located in the place of Nokalakevi.</p>
<p>Then, we take the road to Svaneti, which has been the cradle of gold mining in Georgia since early civilization. The primary goal of the Argonauts was to gain this knowledge by stealing the golden fleece &#8211; gold-plated sheepskin.</p>
<p>In addition, Svaneti is an ancient and distinctive part of Georgia. The high towers are harmoniously combined with the huge mountains, cliffs and the important samples of Svan architecture make an indelible impression on the visitor.</p>

If fate smiles on us, we can get golden grains from the river with our own hands. After that, we will visit the Mestia Ethnographic Museum, which includes a variety of expositions. The materials preserved as a result of archeological excavations, the unique works of Georgian engraved art and icon painting, the ancient manuscripts and items bring admiration to the visitor. In the evening, we will enjoy Svan polyphonic songs.</p>

It is located at an altitude of 2 200 m. and is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The amazing view of Shkhara, the Svan towers and the ancient temples create an exotic and fabulous environment.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>From Mestia, we will arrive in the beautiful region of the Black Sea &#8211; Adjara, where the Argonauts first set foot. In 1984, English explorer Tim Severin replicated the route of the Argonauts and proved that, such a long journey was possible even in ancient times.</p>
<p>In the center of Batumi, the statue of Medea, the daughter of the Colchian king &#8211; Aeetes &#8211; boasts a golden ram. Medea is considered to be the first maker of medicine, that could make medicinal plants. The term &#8211; medicine is also associated with its name.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_toggle_content clearfix"><p>We start the morning with a visit to the historical fortress of Gonio (Apsaros), about which information is found in ancient sources. The founding of Gonio Castle is closely linked to the myth of the Argonauts and Medea&#8217;s brother Apsaros. It is a well-known fact, that the Colchians fought the fleeing Argonauts right here and Jason Apsaros saved his life here. Free time in the afternoon.</p>
